One of the most significant appliances you have at home is the refrigerator. Having one that malfunctions all the time can be crippling. Although you can in fact call a fix man to fix your fridge, there are some refrigerator problems that you can in fact fix.
1. The light does not work and it is not working at all

Make sure the whole thing is in fact not working. It could just be the lighting fixture of the motor malfunctioning. If the climatic characteristic drops after a few hours, it means there is no power supplied to the machine. Make sure you have firmly linked the plug. Check the outlet if it is working by plugging other machines to it. Also check the circuit breaker of your house. Make sure the fuse has not been damaged.
2. The light is working but the climatic characteristic is not what it used to be
If there is a drop in temperature, you should check the climatic characteristic operate dial. Turn it on. You might have accidentally switched it off or turned it low. If this does not work, try cleaning the condenser coils of the machine. Turn it off and push it forward. Use brush or shop vacuum to take off collected dust in the coils at the back of the machine.
Also check the door seal of the machine. Try placing flashlight inside the fridge. Close the door. Find out if there is light seeping out of the door seal. If you can see a bit of light, it means there is a gap in between the door seal. You should replace the seal to avoid the flee of cold air.
3. It is leaking water
Water can leak from the refrigerator. This can be caused by the defrosted ice from the water dispenser or just oil from the machine. You should clean the drain pan ordinarily found at the lowest part of the machine. The drain pan catches the excess fluid from the machine. Thought about take off the contents.
Also check the water dispenser line. Clean the filters to preclude obstructions in the flow of water. This can cause water pressure to rise on the other end of the dispenser line. Make sure the water hose is not damaged or broken.
4. Water does not come out of the water dispenser
If there is a gradual decrease of the flow of water, it is probably caused by accumulated debris in the filter. You should clean the water filter or replace it with a new one. It is advisable to replace the filter every 4 months or so.
If this does not work, unplug your fridge and take off the perishable contents. Try to defrost the fridge. Ice can build inside the hose of the water source. Let it defrost overnight.
